And here I thought I read too much...

This is the ultimate bookworm meme.

The list is The Guardian's List of 1000 Must-Read Books

Here are the rules:

  1. Bold the ones you've read cover to cover.
  2. Italicize the ones you've read partially.
  3. Underline the ones you want to read.
  4. Put an asterisk next to the ones you actually liked.
  5. Provide comments wherever necessary

Summary: I have read 3.8% of the books on this list. If you count the uncompleted books as half-finished, I have read 4.5%.

Also, this is not even a fraction of all the books I have read in my life. Yowza.

I'm somewhere around 3%. I really started skimming at the end. The Sci-Fi/Fantasy section really upped my numbers.

I'm pretty amused that I can cross both Anna Karenina and War and Peace off that list.

Do yourself a favor and get American Gods right now. It is amazing.

I am actually all set to gank that book from Andrew (Hunter S. Thompson AND Neil Gaiman? I knew there was a reason I liked this guy!) the next time I go over there. :) I have an opening in my five-book rotation.
