Today has been a lazy day of rest, recooperation, and reading. I haven't given up on the Inheritance series. I'm halfway through Eldest right now, and I must admit it's better than Eragon. Don't get me wrong, I'm still super annoyed with Christopher Paolini... but after seeing the first movie and knowing how it completely bastardized the book, I really need to read and then see the others.
I've been watching a lot of movies lately too...
I don't really have much to say about it, except that I loved it. I hadn't seen it, but I love everything Mel Brooks has ever done, and I definitely love Nathan Lane. It was just joyous. Keep it gay, indeed.
I don't know. It just didn't work for me. It was too farfetched for me to buy it as a romantic comedy, and I didn't really care about any of the characters. I did like Luke Wilson playing the lovable, laid-back, stoner. Other than that, I just couldn't get into it and spent most of the movie rolling my eyes at Nic.
Tonight we're going to go see Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. Alan Rickman and Dustin Hoffman, here we come. You should see the trailer. It looks like such a beautiful film. I just don't know if I'll be able to sleep afterward.
Nic, Faith, and I watched the last 6 episodes of Dexter (yes, consecutively) and it still gives me the creeps every now and again. I can handle horror and gore in small doses, but I might be overdoing it. I really love that show, though. Props to Showtime, and I'm really glad they've got it signed up for a second season. I have no idea where it will go, but it's been so good this past season I don't really care where they take it.
Which reminds me... I wanted to know.
Do you watch/have you watched Dexter?
If so, what do you think about it?
Have you read Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay?
I didn't even know it was based on a book!
Would you recommend it?
Alright! I'm off to read the rest of my In Style because I am becoming a shameless fashion junkie.
