Mo' Doctors, Mo' Problems

AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAA, I WAS RIGHT! CALLED IT! I WIN!

Shelby 1 - Doctors 0

I have hives all over my everything. I am, once again, allergic to my medication. We've always known that antibiotics are tricky for me. I've always been allergic to Penicillin, and now we can add Cipro to the black list.

The thing that gets me is that no one believed me. I woke up on Saturday morning and I had some weird red bumps on my face that were clearly not acne. I don't really have acne, but I've never had hives before so I didn't know what they looked like. I called my dad and told him I thought I had shingles or rubella or leprosy... or that I might be having an allergic reaction to the medicine. He laughed at me, called me a hypochondriac, and told me to go to the doctor if it didn't clear. Well, it didn't clear, and I WAS RIGHT. That fact alone almost makes me feel better about this situation. That and the fact that my skin will, in fact, clear.

I wish I could get a refund on my other prescription though.

I'm just glad they'll go away in a few days. They're not what I thought they'd be?

I think hives is a misnomer. They don't look hive-like.

That's so funny (ok not really) cuz I'm allergic to, like, 5 different kinds of medicines which makes it really hard for doctors to prescribe anything to me when I'm sick. Good luck, hun.
