Thoughts

Faith and I are good at focusing on what really matters. Fandom! And so, we ask the important questions:

Does anyone ever get a letter of rejection from Hogwarts? I mean, if you're a squib like Mr. Filch and from a family of wizards or, alternatively, a muggle family that has somehow spawned a wizard and therefore knows about the letter of acceptance, do you get a "sorry but you're hopeless" letter or do they just not write one to you and expect you to put it together on your own?

Also, y'know Olivander? Messr. Wand Maker Extraordinare? What house do you think he was in? Faith and I are willing to bet Slytherin, because he is willing to acknowledge that Voldemort did "great" things, terrible though they may have been.

Whaddaya think?

I don't know.. I don't think they would... It would be rather mean, don't you think? I think people just realise and fall into a deep, dark depression.

I think that Olivander was probably a Ravenclaw, because Ravenclaws seem a bit OCD, and he definitely is with his wands.

Ha! What makes you think Ravenclaws are OCD? That's something I've never heard before... I'm gonna have to think on that.

Because like all the people I know that say they are Ravenclaw are like borderline OCD on some subject or another. So I make a generalization that will probably get people pissed at me xD

I don't think they send rejection letters. I just assume that if you weren't accepted you wouldn't be able to go to Hogwarts (maybe you won't be able to enter the train or something). I actually think I thought people didn't even apply - i assume they already know about you (wizard or muggle) and would automatically send you a letter if they wanted you.

Hm....

Yeah, but assuming that you have a brother that goes off to Hogwarts, wouldn't you expect to get a letter too? Do they just not send you one?

Slytherin makes even more sense to me now, 'cause isn't it kind of insensitive to be all "Oh hey, I sold your parents their wands! Didn't help them though, your wand's brother killed them and cut your head open! Great things!"
