Stickin' it to the bitch...

HALLO. I JUST DROPPED COMMLAW AND I FEEL FANTASTIC. HOW'RE YOU?

Sorry for the excessive caps, but I feel so relieved. I abhor that class, I loathe the subject material, I hate the professor, the TA is practically a nazi, and I just dropped it like a bad habit. No more class at 8:15 in the godforsaken morning, thank you very much! No more briefs! No midterm! No research paper! No final! No more God-awful book 20 pound book of boooooooooooooooooring! Adieu! Goodbye! Good riddance to bad rubbish! See you in hell! Aaaahahhahaa!

I'm off to go frolic in a happy field of lollipop flowers underneath a cotton-candy sky! Sweet tooth, wot wot?

Actually, I'd like to rant briefly about LOST. What in the hell is up with the onslaught of backstory all of a sudden? Why do we need to watch Sayid torture for the first time? We know he has tortured before. We saw him tie Sawyer to a tree. I fail to see how this is imperative plot-information. Granted, we get to see that the Americans are bad, bad people and hoorah, Kate's Not-Dad interacted briefly with Sayid during the war but dear God why?

Also, how is finding another, seemingly abandoned hatch going to help the story move on? We know Ethan was a bad, bad man. We know Claire was all discombobulated after she escaped. We get it. Aaron is fine. We move on. I mean seriously, Aaron isn't "infected," and we basicaly made no progress with this episode. There wasn't even anything left in that hatch besides OtherWear and stage make-up! Why is this a dramatic discovery? Why didn't the others descend on them like flying monkeys, because they were clearly past "the line."

Plus, we had a scene entirely devoted to Eko cutting down a tree! I mean, yum and all, but why? Also, the slitting of the facial hair? WTF? That man terrifies me sometimes, especially when he's got a blade and just got done talkin' 'bout killin' people.

C'mon! Aren't there more pressing issues here? Like, oh - say, the fact that everyone suddenly seems to be OK with the fact that Sawyer is King of the Jungle and our islanders are all keen to let all the guns lay out wherever he's hidden them, and where the others may easily find them? Or what about the creepy bug-eyed asshole in the hatch? Why isn't Sayid being persistent? Why has no one on that stupid island watched or read Wizard of Oz?! Why hasn't Locke told anyone about the creepy Hieroglyphics of Doom? Why is Locke suddenly forgetting that he's the one that told Jack to take charge in the first season? Why is Rosseau suddenly all up in Beachtown's grill? Where's smogzilla? Where's Vincent? What happened to Walt and Michael? Just because Shannon is dead and isn't seeing visions of our whispering, waterlogged Walt doesn't mean that we've forgotten his brutal kidnapping. So many important questions and we get... CGI war torn countrysides, Americans = tricksy bad guys, requiem-for-a-dream-esque trippy flashbacks, Ethan = still worse than Jack's Dad, and lumber harvesting. Dubble yew tee eff.

ETA: Also, what kind of a forecast is this?

Periods of light snow with a little bit of freezing drizzle mixed in... [Why the ellipsis?]will continue across the Twin cities and eastern Minnesota most of the morning. Only a little accumulation is expected from the snow showers today. Expect some icy stretches on the roads around [but not in...] Minnesota this morning. Just so you know... [Wait... did my weather forecast really say "Just so you know"?] just to the west and south of the Twin cities... [Why the ellipsis?] All the way out to South Dakota and down to Iowa... [Another one! This is officially the worst sentence ever.] blustery northwest winds gusting up to the 40 to 45 mph range... [Stop it!] are blasting the southwest half of Minnesota this morning... [No rly. It's not funny anymore. Plz for to not abuse ellipses.] combined with multiple bands of snow that are getting wrapped around [Are they really? Snow bands? Like, snow ropes? Or are they stretchy like rubber bands?]... [Why, God? Why?] and whipped up in the strong winds... [I AM GOING TO FIND THIS WRITER AND STAB HIM/HER WITH A RED PEN.] visibilities are dropping rapidly and suddenly [One can only hope with grammar like this.] to near zero in places...[It's still happening. How is this still happening?] from the falling snow [With 40-45 mph winds, don't you mean blowing snow?]...and the blowing and drifting snow too [There you go!]. The windy conditions are expected diminish this afternoon.

Holy Mother of OW!

Every good band of outlaw/homeless people who really aren't all that gross needs a place to play dress up! But seriously, I agree with all your questions and WTFs. It's like, give us something to go with for once, instead of just letting things sit!

And yeah, weather forecasters are awesome at not having grammar skills and being completely random. I'm in a synoptic class right now (which seriously, just teaches you HOW to forecast...I'm pretty sure I could go work for the weather channel after this, hahaha) and all the written forecasts are like that. It's highly amusing, especially when we get to write our own. :D

Heh! I took meterology last year! I learned how to forecast, and promptly forgot just about all of it! It was mad easy because even the professionals never get it right.

It's sunny today. No falling, let alone blwing snow... *sigh*

Fools, I tell you what. XD

Hahaha! No kidding! I'm pretty sure my youngest nephew could forecast just as well as any professional out there! ;)

And yeah, mine's pretty easy as well. Our labs (which I think of a "lab" as a 2-3 hour long task that takes at least a marginal amount of effort) consist of COLORING IN RAIN AND STORMS ON WEATHER MAPS!!! I love it. I get to break out my colored pencils, and act like I'm back in third grade!

You got to color?! No fair! The most coloring we got to do was to use blue for cold fronts and red for warm fronts!

I am jealous.

...I've also been thinking about buying one of those megaboxes of crayola colored pencils just for the hell of it, but I can't justify spending any extra money right now.
