She's also kind of old... hence the ancient name. She was my grandmother's car, and she was made in 1991 so I figured it was appropriate. Nevertheless, she was my grandmother's car so she's in good shape, despite the fact that the speedometer doesn't work right away when it's cold and I'm pretty sure the hood is made of plastic that's been painted to look like metal. Also, the upholstery on the ceiling is beginning to sag, but it's nowhere near as bad as the Jeep was. Plus it's got new tires, a new battery, fresh oil and all other sundry fluids and it purrs like kitten.
HOWEVA, my father was an auto-mechanic for 20 years, so I'm being given the entire breakdown of the car and it's really kind of irritating. There's no way in hell I'm going to remember all this crap. I can promise you that I know how I'll If something goes wrong I'll be calling someone on a cell phone, and breaking out the toolbox aka "wallet."
Anyway, it seems like my mother is going to insist on reading over my shoulder as I type. Some habits die hard, I guess. Anyway, I'm out for now. Hold down the fort for me.
