Last night was a smash success, despite a few fall-outs. I made dinner for the girlies: spinach and cheese filled tortellini in garlic moscarpone sauce with sauteed mushrooms and asparagus! We paired it with a Pinot Grigio and I made garlic bread and there was much rejoicing.

We then went on to get smash drunk on various vodka concoctions. Nic, aither_nyx, Damon and muhnipul8a came over, and there was a lot of ridiculously amusing conversation. Also, a wee bit of drunken emo-sulk, but it was quickly remedied. We watched O Brother, and I had so much fun, which kind of surprised me. Still, I am not one to look a gift horse* - or any horse, really - in the mouth.

Damon and Aaron left early, and then we played clue while we were sobering up and it was awesome. I had forgotten how much I love that game. It's was my favorite when I was a kid. Great times. It's on a par with drunken Pictionary.

Today on the agenda, bounding around the cities and then tonight we're going to go see Dan's band play at his house. Should be a rockin' time. Hooray for weekends, for freedom, and (most importantly) for pandas!

*I don't even understand that phrase. What the hell does it mean? Anybody know?

ETA: Yesterday was Friday the 13th! I never even noticed. I guess it's a good thing I'm not triscadecaphobic.

you can tell how old a horse is by looking at its teeth. a younger horse would be a better gift because of its potential. an old horse is obviously a shitty gift. so it's considered rude to look a gift horse in the mouth because it indicates that you don't appreciate it. or something.
