Procrastination rules the Nation

So I was trying to write this paper earlier when I had an epiphany. This little shitter isn't due until Tuesday! There's still a whole 24 hours worth of procrastination in this puppy! When have I ever completed an assignment in a timely and thorough fashion? That's just not my style. Panic is my muse, and I'm not even going to look at this assignment until tomorrow after 10 p.m. and that is a promise.

Truth is, I started writing it when my compter went haywire and shut itself off - thus causing me to lose the file. I don't necessarily feel inclined to start over right now. Instead, I let it chill while I took a run around the lake and I am going to be sore tomorrow, I tell you what. I just had too much bottled energy, and there are only two possible cures for a dangerous stockpile of energy;1) an orgasm or 2) physically exhausting myself. While I would have preferred the former, no dice. The latter sated me, anyway.

This weekend was exactly what I needed. I got my rest in, took a chunk out of my reading, got my party on, and met some really awesome people.
For example:

Too effin' cute. Let me just say, ending this weekend with pizza, lounging on the couch, and listening to The Shins = awesome.

Next weekend will be interesting, to say the very least. Alex is coming back and Matt is coming up. Yep.

Faith, Nic, Sandy, and I (and maybe Spencer) are going to go see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the IMAX, mo'fuggas!!! Be extremely jealous. If you live near the likes of us and want to come, let us know. It's going to be a religious experience.

In other news, I know it kills my father that my political views don't line up with his. Still, I think it's a little much for him to purchase a subscription for me to one of his hyper-republican magazines/newsletters. Honestly, I will probably never read it. In fact, I'll probably just use it for kindling, to be honest. I suppose I could also pass it on to muhnipul8a for amusement, but I'm not that cruel. It's completely futile. Even if I were to read it - which I did - it will only piss me off. It's the same effect this partisan nonsense had on me when I was at home. Things have not changed. I know he's very concerned that my mind will be sullied by "liberal propaganda" whilst I'm at school, but c'mon, it's not like republican propaganda is going to balance everything out. It's not welcome in my house anyway. In short, no dice, Paco.

*high5ives* Hah.

For real, that poll that I did awhile back proved that 80% of the students on my f-list, total slackers. I love it.

Oh snap! Guess I'm going to have friend you now, eh?

You also caught me redhanded spaming my friends-list with that adorable picture. What can I say? I have an appreciation for adorable dogs and people.

P.S. You win the coolest person I met at the party award. The shirt, the white russian, and the dog have sealed the deal.

haha, White Russians win friends everywhere. It was my second day experimenting with them, so I guess they pretty much go down in the books as best drink of November (I can't be too optimistic about how long they'd last as "best drink ever")

That's ok, there are several other formidable mixed drinks to be had. You can ask Damon about my drink making skillz. I'm a bartender extraordinare.

Oh so, German studies huh? Does that mean you support this type of literature? Haha, oh damn... my corneas are trying to kill themselves. *blink blink*

Hah! I think I just 'sploded.

So you're to blame! ...Nicely done. I applaud you, and ask you to pay my medical bills. ;)

My friend made an icon out of that, and it's horrifying. It's somewhere in the the lj....couple entries back. *shrug*

May I note that you have the greatest LJ icons in the world? From "Rex Manning Day" to "I do believe in commas" to the wonderful HP collection, I sing the praises.

Would you mind if I borrowed one or two? Proper credit will be given, of course.

Wow, way for me to reply with my roommate's screen name.

Anyway, thank you! And feel free to gank some. Some of them I borrowstolled from other people, others I've made, so feel free to pick and choose. The info is all in the icon keywords and comments.
