Life is too short to refrain from eating jam out of the jar.

I am the queen of procrastination. I completely forgot that we had an assignment due tomorrow until about oh, 45 minutes ago. Yes, I totally just kicked it out in a half an hour. Seriously, don't get in my way when I'm rockin' this hard.

I was going to write about this earlier, but I forgot about it. A couple weeks ago in the Star Tribune they had an article about Urban Exploration. Apparently it's bigger here than I thought, and they've actually been arresting people (3 college students armed with gunpowder and some fireworks, specifically). The article reported some 3,000 spelunkers in the metro area. Granted, 3,000 out of 3 mil isn't a radical percentage of the population, but that's still a pretty significant sub-culture which I definitely include myself in. I want to go out again, but I don't know if/when the opportunity will present itself.

In other news, p2p programs are apparently endangered once more. Reportedly doomed, even. (Mmmm. Doom.) I seriously doubt this, however. For one, the newer versions of AIM allow file hosting & sharing between friends, and there will always be underground software programs that are either altered versions of the standard p2p programs (i.e. OurTunes, MyTunes, Kazaa Lite, etc.) or hubs that are run by a single person or group of programmers. Not to mention websites like that make it possible to send just about anything to just about anyone. So there.

Add a Nintendo NES to the list of my recently acquired things. I'll have all the Mario anyone could ask for in a few days, and there will be much rejoicing and much less homework getting done.

faithlynn, sbryan, and I watched Invasion 1:1 & 1:2 again earlier, so we'll probably have the recap for 1:1 out later today. I'm pleased to report that our notes are much better than last time. In fact, re-watching the episode made me feel ashamed because I missed so much, and there was so much to be commented on! Oh well. My only consolation is that such shoddy note-taking will never. happen. again. thanks to the marvel that is DVR. That doesn't mean that I will cease to be confused, but at least we can be chronologically correct with our confusion. This also does not mean that I will cease to leap about a foot every time something jumps out, makes a loud thud or is really, really gross - even if I've already seen the episode twice.

I have been getting really bizarre urges lately, and they're hard to repress. I'm a pretty impulsive person in general, but lately that's been kicked into overdrive. I bet this week will be very interesting, to say the very least. Who knows, I might end up in Wisconsin on a whim again.
