ten points from gryffindor

My advisor double booked me...

So I woke up early this morning for nothing. This does not make me happy. Ah well. It gives me some time to work in some more work-out time.

I took a brisk jog around a few blocks... and I mean brisk because it was freezing cold. I think it's officially time to stick with the Tinturi bike and my yoga mat. Anyone here do yoga? I think I fail at it. I need some instruction. I also need to clean my fish's vase out, do some laundry[WOE. SUFFERING AND TOIL.], and get to work on my projects. I'm so thankful that I combined my two projects though. There's nothing quite like double-duty to make you feel productive.

In other news, splits_thesky gave me the letter "O" to work with, so here are 10 things I like beginning with "O":
  1. Origami
  2. Oldman, Gary
  3. Otters
  4. Onyx [it's so pretty!]
  5. Olives, all kinds.
  6. Oxygen
  7. Orgasms [Don't "omg, TMI" me. Everybody does. Shu'up.]
  8. Oolong Tea
  9. O Brother Where Art Thou?
  10. Onomatopoeias

I am in a pickle...

I just met the woman who is responsible for destroying my academic career. Okay, maybe that's a little harsh... but because of her, and her decision to cancel my section of a required course, I will most likely be forced into an extra semester of school. I went to talk to my advisor today, to see if there was anything we could do. Any course I can ammend, any alternate strategy. I was basically told to suck it up, deal with it, and take it up the tailpipe. Unless I can get into a specific section of a class I never even wanted to take, or if (and this is highly unlikely) I can find a faculty member who will allow me to not only do a directed study with them - but then let me petition for it to count as a skills course and petition for an ammendment... THEN I'll be able to graduate on time.

This is so frustrating. Everything was fine. I was all set to go, and suddenly - by no fault of my own - everything is not fine and I have all this scrambling to do during the busiest time of the school year. It's fan-friggen-tastic, and I kind of want to cry.

Okay! Enough whining! The good news is... I got in touch with the Marketing coordinator of Pot Belly and I'm going to send her an e-mail full of questions, which she will answer over the weekend. We're planning on meeting in person next week, but I really doubt that'll be necessary. So, I should be able to have an article for Marilyn before next week is over, and I'll even adhere to the topic she assigned (although still begrudgingly)! Having that incomplete over with will take a huge load off my shoulders, I think.

Furthermore, I'm planning on getting my drafting done tonight. All of it. No excuses. DONE. I'll probably be up until 4 a.m. but I don't have class tomorrow so it doesn't matter. I'll get it all recorded, then I'll go in and work on my final video project, and then I won't really have anything to do but finish my editing test and wait for finals... which, hooray?

Luckily, I don't have to worry about finals because I'm getting A's in just about everything (in fact, I think... everything. Ha ha!) I may not be a good student behaviorally, but I get the grades 'cause I got skillz. *smert*

Alright. No more school talk. Now school do. After meme, of course.
almost_without gave me the letter F, so here are my some affable Effs:
  1. Fandango...ing?
  2. Frisbees
  3. Felt hats [Stetsons... helloooooo!]
  4. Fine faucets [I kid you not. If I could, I would redecorate bathrooms over and over and over.]
  5. Franklin D. Roosevelt
  6. Foreign Accents
  7. Finding Neverland
  8. fark.com
  9. Flat irons [Which reminds me, I need a new one...]
  10. Fatboy Slim
