Some sensory observations

It's quiet today; unusually so, when you consider it's 5 p.m. on a Friday. The season has changed. The still, lonely silence of winter crept in overnight. There are still a few leaves clinging to the mostly naked branches, and the grass is still green, but it feels and sounds as if snow were blanketing the city. The air is cold and dry. I feel it chilling my lungs and pulling my skin taut. Even the light has changed. The warm, yellow light of summer and the amber light of autumn are both gone. Now the world is muted by blank white light. I see everything through a grey filter. Even the bright red maple in the neighbor's yard seems dull. And it's quiet. So, so quiet.

Also, I updated mt_diaries with a semi-silly parody a few days ago, I just haven't been around my, or indeed any, computer for awhile.
