Alright, so let me just start off by saying that I am definitely not "down with the sickness", ok? This is not going to fly. The only good thing about it is that if a customer pisses me off at work, I can go in the back room and conjure a very pleasant sized snotball for them. Although, I would never have the balls to do that... it does lend very attractive revengeful images.
This morning has been ... I guess just a regular bleary hey-look-at-this-I'm-never-gonna-stop-raining-so-Ha-Ha! morning. However, I took the liberty of reading the 2001 section of my journal... so bizarre. I was ashamed to remember that yes, at one point I did engage in the internet "wo0t"-ing and creative-punctuation.! However, I was suprised at the vocabulary I had then... it was like a little pat on the back. Granted, almost every single entry was about that stupid canadian kid, which made me laugh. Ah, so young... However, the teenage rage was very apparent and articulate, even! It's always interesting to see how far you've come. I remember that little girl locked in those entries and I kinda like the way she grew... I can see how I transformed the way I did, which to me is quite interesting because at age 5 I never would have predicted this. Christ, I probably would have guessed that I'd be a vet or something. Nope! I'm a smart-ass journalist with a penchant for music, art, and mischeif.
Speaking of mischeif, Lynn Truss is inspiring me to become a punctuation vigilante. I was at blockbuster the other night renting Boondock Saints because plans with Cody fell through [god, I haven't seen him in forever!] and I noticed the movie Two Weeks Notice which is referenced multiple times in the book, Eats Shoots & Leaves, which by the way, I am almost done with even though I started it two days ago...and I was tempted to heist a sharpie and correct the grammatical error. I. am such. a dork. But it's all in good fun. Anyway, I have to be at work in about 30 min and have a week's worth of mail to sort through, so I best get to it. Britney is gonna chill with me cuz it's dead in town today because of the bleary hey-look-at-this-I'm-never-gonna-stop-raining-so-Ha-Ha! weather that refuses to subside, so hopefully it wont be too painful. She's going to help me close because I'm ill... what a nice gesture.
