Goals for 2008

I don't really do resolutions, but I do goals. Goals that typically don't really mean anything. This year, I'm recycling one, and adding two new ones.

  1. Watch 100 As-Yet-Unseen-By-Me/Live Theater Movies in 2008:
    • I tried in 2007, and because of my penchant for re-watching old favorites, I came a bit short. I know I watched way over 100 movies, but not "new" movies. That's cheating. So, the goal is recycled and it will be accomplished.

Here's a list of the movies/theater I saw last year:

  2. Read 50 Books in 2008:
    • I love reading. Now that I'm not in school, I can get back to pleasure reading. I do read a lot, but not this much so it'll be a nice challenge and it will - hopefully - keep my mind sharp!

  3. Improve My Overall Health:
    • This is the most important goal, and there are several different ways I'm planning on attacking this. I'm going to the chiropractor and watching my posture for the first time in my life to tackle my chronic back pain. I'm changing my diet to consist of fresh, homemade, non-processed foods. I'm going to start going to the gym/outside or doing yoga at least 3-4 times a week. I hope to lose 40 pounds in 2008.

And, of course, for all of this there is the goal to come back to LJ and document my progress as well as catch up with all of my friends. Given that I spend 8 hours a day in front of a computer every day of the week, I tend to not bop online at the end of the day. I'm going to try and get over that stigma, because I miss teh el jay. So that's the plan for this year. What's yours?

David Bowie makes movies 100 times better. Even though the Prestige was amazing even during non-Tesla scenes.
