I read everything, which is the best way to get a good sense of what's actually going on. Looking at all sides.

Aljezeera isn't the only one covering it. Here's BBC, and CNN. I chose the Aljezeera one because it was the most comprehensive, detailed, and attributed quotes more effectively than other articles.

Also, don't hate. I care about the PEOPLE (not losers) in the entertainment industry, 'cause I love the entertainment industry.

You're a hater today. Y'know that?

Haha that's great! Do you do these often? If so I'll never have to watch the news channel ever again. :P

Haha, I don't do them as often as I'd like, and probably not often enough to really stay on top of things... but I'm planning on doing another one for Halloween if there are any interesting happenings over the holiday. In fact, I normally stick to holidays, or if I can find a theme in the news then I'll do one like today's. :)

'Cause I do read the news every day, and if there there's something that strikes me I'll put it in the lj if I remember, but putting one of these suckers up takes tiiiiime and coding and sometimes I just don't wanna. :)

They made quite liberal (har, har) use of that "sex workers" term, didn't they? Amusing, in an odd sort of way...

Oh indeed they did. Hah.

Amusing is a word I would definitely use, although odd is true too. I think the conjuction of the two is best.

Have you noticed that most PC-ish terminology tends to be incredibly cumbersome? "If we add more words and syllables to something, we'll make sure we don't offend anybody!" Yes, and you'll take the heart and soul right the hell out of the discussion. Way to go. C'mon, folks. They were ancient Roman prostitutes. Whores, if you prefer. They were legal, and they had spiffy-looking digs in which to ply their trade. Look how far we've come since then, eh? *smirk*

Hey, I've been to that whorehouse! It was a little on the boring side. Although, I did go pre-restoration and you couldn't really suss out what was going on in the frescoes, so maybe it's more interesting now. Hm.

With you on the cuting it off thing. Repeat offenders should be denied the ability to offend.

Thank you! I think gelding would be a suitable deterrent. Plus, with less testosterone they might calm down a titch. Maybe grow a large tummy like a neutered cat.

Ooh, how about how Rush Limbaugh is trying to claim that Michael J. Fox is faking/exxagerating the effects of Parkinsons disease on Missouri pro-stem cell research commercials? Ouch!
